Godiva Japan is taking the milk tea experience to indulgent new heights with its latest offering: the Stone-ground Uji Matcha Chocolixir.
Launching on April 25 as part of the brand’s 20th anniversary celebration of the Chocolixir line in Japan, this premium drink is set to thrill milk tea lovers with a taste for high-end ingredients and bold flavor fusions.
At the heart of this luxurious beverage is Uji matcha, a prized green tea from Kyoto’s Uji region—renowned as Japan’s premier matcha-producing area. But Godiva doesn’t stop there.
The green tea used here is stone-ground (ishi usubiki) using traditional millstone methods, unlocking an exceptionally rich aroma and flavor profile.
This matcha is then artfully blended with smooth white chocolate, creating a milky tea base that allows the grassy, slightly bitter essence of the green tea to truly shine.
Topping off the experience is a swirl of whipped cream, delicately layered with matcha syrup and extra matcha powder—a bold finish that affirms this drink is made for serious matcha fans.
The Stone-ground Uji Matcha Chocolixir isn’t just another seasonal flavor; it’s a premium milk tea fusion made for connoisseurs of both chocolate and Japanese green tea.
Priced at 860 yen for a medium and 970 yen for a large (about US$5.75 and US$6.50), it’s an irresistible temptation that’s likely to have fans choosing the larger size.
With its new Chocolixir, Godiva Japan continues to redefine dessert drinks, blending centuries-old tea craftsmanship with modern milk tea culture in a cup that’s both elegant and indulgent.
