Seven-Eleven Japan is elevating its beverage offerings with the nationwide expansion of its “Seven Cafe Tea,” featuring freshly brewed premium tea made using a specialized machine.
Set to roll out to approximately 2,000 stores by February 2026, this new service aims to cater to tea lovers across the country, offering a unique, at-home-style tea experience.
Originally launched in January 2023 at select locations in the Tokyo metropolitan area and Hokkaido, Seven Cafe Tea has received positive customer feedback, prompting the chain to extend the offering nationwide.
Customers can now choose from three distinct, high-quality tea blends: Darjeeling Blend, Earl Grey, and Assam Blend. Each variety is crafted to suit different flavor preferences and pair perfectly with a variety of foods.
The Darjeeling Blend offers a floral and refreshing taste, ideal with rice balls, sandwiches, or soba noodles. The Earl Grey, with its distinct bergamot flavor, is a sweet pairing for chocolate and custard, while the Assam Blend, perfect for milk tea, complements desserts and cheese-based dishes.
The new tea offerings are affordably priced, with hot tea starting at 120 yen for regular size and 180 yen for large, and milk tea priced from 190 yen for a regular hot milk tea to 300 yen for a large iced version. Customers can conveniently order their tea at the register, use the dedicated machine to brew it, and enjoy a high-quality beverage on the spot.
As part of its strategy to meet the growing demand for premium tea, this expansion positions Seven-Eleven Japan as a leader in the convenience store market, offering quality tea options for both traditional drinkers and newcomers.
