Tea’Licious Cafe, a new spot serving a variety of beverages including boba tea, smoothies, coffee, and more, opened in late February under the Levinson Building in downtown Noblesville at 59 S. 9th St.
Owner Shar Shee, who resides in Marion, discovered the space through the nearby Thai Sushi House, which also opened last month. This marks the debut of the first Tea’Licious location.
“I’ve been working as a server since high school, and since I’m not fond of studying, I decided to take starting a business seriously,” Shee shared. “My former boss and I became close friends, and he played a big role in helping me get started.”
At 25, Shee has crafted a menu inspired by her travels, particularly in Southeast Asia, offering unique drinks like smoothies, smoothie bowls, milk tea, shaved ice cream, and more. “I’ve noticed drinks that aren’t as popular in America but have become favorites in other parts of the world,” Shee explained. “Our milk tea with tapioca boba and matcha tea have been particularly well-received.”
Business has started slow, but Shee remains optimistic, especially with warmer weather approaching. “Everyone in town keeps reminding me to be patient and wait for summer,” Shee said. “That encouragement keeps me going, and I’m committed to growing this business.”
As demand increases, Shee also plans to offer job opportunities, including positions for high school students, to help support the cafe’s growth.
