Eau Claire is about to get a new hotspot for milk tea lovers with the upcoming grand opening of Sweet Boba House. Located on Craig Road in the former Monster Scoop ice cream shop, this new boba venture promises to fill a gap in the city’s limited bubble tea options.
Set to open in late April, Sweet Boba House will bring a variety of classic bubble tea drinks such as milk teas, fruit teas, and smoothies, along with exciting new creations like Strawberry Dream Milk Tea and Tiger-Brown Sugar Milk Tea. The shop will also feature a special range of toppings, including traditional tapioca pearls, jellies, and the unique addition of savory and sweet cream toppings.
Sweet Boba House owner Mai Vang, who has 15 years of healthcare experience, says the decision to open the shop grew from a long-time passion and a desire to bring more boba culture to the Chippewa Valley. After years of living in the area, she noticed the lack of local boba shops and was inspired by her frequent trips to the Twin Cities, where bubble tea is a staple.
With a deep connection to the community, Mai is eager to create a space where both regulars and newcomers can enjoy a refreshing drink and celebrate life’s small moments. Along with the boba drinks, Sweet Boba House will offer tasty snacks like mochi, cake slices, and bubble waffle on a stick, adding to the unique experience.
As Mai puts it, “I hope Sweet Boba House becomes a beloved space in Eau Claire where I get to celebrate all the small wins in life with everyone.”
