Silk Brings Stylish Twist To Hong Kong Milk Tea Tradition

Silk, a popular bubble tea brand in Hong Kong, has become a sensation by blending modern flair with traditional flavors. Located in a tenement building in the heart of Kennedy Town, Silk’s first “boba house” has quickly attracted attention for its innovative take on the beloved Hong Kong milk tea.

Launched in September 2022, Silk has expanded to six locations, including one in Singapore, offering a unique mix of nostalgic and contemporary experiences.

Their signature drink, the Smooth King, blends a 50-year-old recipe for Hong Kong-style milk tea with modern twists like honeycomb, tapioca pearls, and a cheese cloud foam.

Silk’s Kennedy Town location, which opened on February 15, showcases a thoughtful design merging Hong Kong’s past with present-day style.

Old-school window frames evoke the city’s iconic tong lau architecture, while sleek black paint adds a contemporary touch, making Silk the perfect place where tradition and style meet.
