Get ready, Thailand! Tealive, the sensational Malaysian bubble tea chain, is preparing to take the country by storm. Tealive has just signed a major licensing deal with Bangkok’s own Restaurants Development Co. (RD) to open up to 80 outlets across the country by 2035.
This is the latest chapter in the brand’s rapid expansion, and it’s no surprise – Tealive is renowned for its lifestyle tea concept that goes beyond your average tea shop.
Thanks to RD’s impressive track record of running over 300 KFC restaurants in Thailand, this partnership is bound to create a solid foundation for Tealive’s growth in one of Southeast Asia’s most exciting tea markets.
From handcrafted beverages like specialty coffee, premium chocolate, and fruit smoothies to Tealive’s famous snacks, there’s something for everyone – and that’s exactly what they’ll be serving up to the Thai people.
Tealive’s Founder and CEO, Bryan Loo, shared his excitement: “We’re not just offering tea – we’re bringing an experience. Thailand’s vibrant tea culture is a perfect match for our lifestyle tea concept. With RD’s widespread presence and experience, we’re poised to introduce Tealive to a whole new audience, aiming for 80 locations within the next decade.”
RD, part of the Indian franchise group Devyani International Limited (DIL), is already a big name in the region. DIL also signed a master franchise agreement with Tealive to bring the bubble tea craze to India, proving just how much global appeal this brand has.
Tealive, which was founded in 2017, is currently buzzing with over 900 stores in Malaysia and nearly 100 across seven other international markets.
Along with their plans for Thailand and India, they’re also gearing up to make waves in the UAE, thanks to a partnership with Dubai-based Eureka Restaurant & Café.
