As Easter approaches, many are eager to indulge in seasonal chocolate eggs, with well-known brands like Cadbury and Nestlé taking center stage. However, Aldi is stepping up to provide an exciting alternative with its new range of Easter eggs, offering some creative twists on traditional flavors.
Among the unique offerings is the Dairyfine Curious Inventions Egg (£3.99), available in both milk and white chocolate, featuring an adventurous blend of popping candy, chocolate beans, and cherry jellies.
Another standout is Aldi’s Dairyfine Bubble Tea Easter Egg (£7.99), which pushes the boundaries of what an Easter egg can be, combining a hollow chocolate cup with chocolate malt balls, marshmallows, and a rock candy straw.
The Dairyfine Curious Inventions Egg (Milk Chocolate) impressed with its crunchy popping candy and sweet fillings, scoring a solid 7/10 despite some delivery mishaps. The White Chocolate Version was a bit more uneven in texture, with dense sections making it harder to break apart, leading to a slightly lower score of 6/10.
The Bubble Tea (Strawberry) egg was the most innovative, with a hollow chocolate cup filled with delicious strawberry marshmallows. Despite its creative nature, the Bubble Tea (Mango) variant didn’t hit the same mark, with a flavor combination that wasn’t to the tester’s liking.
Overall, Aldi’s Easter range provides a fun, budget-friendly way to try something new this Easter, offering both hits and misses in a creative package.
