Gong Cha, one of the world’s fastest-growing bubble tea brands, is making its debut in Northern Ireland with its first store opening in Belfast. Located at 66-68 Botanic Avenue, right in the vibrant heart of the city, the new store will open its doors on Friday, January 24th.
To celebrate, the first 100 customers will enjoy a free bubble tea, with all drinks on the menu available at half price for the entire day.
Founded in Taiwan in 2006, Gong Cha has rapidly expanded globally, with nearly 2,100 locations in 26 markets. Known for its high-quality, freshly brewed whole-leaf tea and premium ingredients, the brand’s arrival in Belfast marks its first location on the island of Ireland.
Situated near Queen’s University Belfast, the new store is perfectly positioned to serve a dynamic mix of students, locals, and tourists. The Belfast location will offer customers the chance to customize their drinks from over 600 possible combinations, including brown sugar tapioca pearls, coconut jelly, and various tea bases. Popular drinks such as the signature brown sugar milk tea will also be available.
Gong Cha Belfast franchisee, Adam Heyes, shared his excitement, saying, “We’re thrilled to introduce Gong Cha to Belfast, a city with an amazing mix of people who are sure to love bubble tea. This is just the beginning as we look forward to serving a variety of premium bubble tea options to this growing community.”
With an ambitious global growth plan to reach 10,000 stores by 2032, Gong Cha continues to spread its bubble tea phenomenon worldwide, offering an international appeal that’s beloved by a diverse customer base.
