Immersive pop-ups may have become a cultural cliché, but Netflix’s latest collaboration with Riot Games promises an experience worth exploring. Koreatown’s popular bubble tea and hookah lounge, Boba Bear, has been transformed into a real-life rendition of the Last Drop Bar, a prominent locale in the hit Netflix series Arcane. This captivating installation runs now through mid-February 2025, celebrating the release of the show’s much-anticipated second season.
Located at 414 S. Western Avenue , this pop-up experience takes immersion to new heights. Guests are transported to the gritty, neon-lit streets of Zaun with a LED-illuminated bar, atmospheric “Over Zaun” windows, and a Jinx-inspired photo booth. Designed to evoke the Arcane universe, every corner of the space feels like stepping into the show’s dynamic and visually stunning world.
Themed drinks are at the heart of this experience, with a menu crafted to mirror the characters and vibes of Arcane. Highlights include:
Knuckle Sandwich: A fiery concoction blending soju with jalapeño, habanero, and mango for a spicy-sweet kick.
Pow Pow: A playful mix of soju, blue raspberry, honey, lemon juice, and pop rocks.
For guests who prefer non-alcoholic options, the menu also features visually striking mocktails served in glowing glass tubes, providing a perfect keepsake of the visit. Of course, boba tea fans will find their favorites available as well, rounding out the beverage offerings.
Unlike many themed lounges, this experience is open to guests of all ages. Tickets are priced at $10, making it an accessible adventure for families, groups of friends, or solo adventurers. The pop-up also boasts an exciting lineup of daily, weekly, and monthly events to keep the energy fresh and engaging.
