Starbucks Unveils 2024 Vegan Holiday Drink Line With Exciting Twists

Starbucks has once again transformed the holiday season with the launch of its 2024 festive drink menu, offering a blend of innovation and inclusivity. Among the highlights is the introduction of vegan-friendly holiday beverages and the elimination of the controversial vegan milk surcharge in North America. Here’s a comprehensive look at what Starbucks has in store for plant-based enthusiasts this holiday season.

On November 7, 2024, Starbucks officially eliminated its surcharge for plant-based milk options in the United States and Canada. This long-awaited move mirrors policies already in place in countries like the UK, France, and Germany. Starbucks first introduced soy milk 27 years ago, and today offers almond, oat, and coconut milk as additional options.

Starbucks debuted its first holiday-themed Refreshers, including the Cran-Merry Orange Refresher, Cran-Merry Orange Lemonade, and a creamy Cran-Merry Drink with coconut milk. These fruity, spiced drinks feature caffeine from green coffee extract.

Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte

A fan-favorite since 2021, this latte blends sugar cookie syrup with Starbucks Blonde espresso and almond milk. It’s available hot or iced and topped with festive sprinkles.

Peppermint Mocha

A classic holiday treat, the mocha sauce and peppermint syrup are vegan-friendly. Swap dairy milk for a plant-based alternative and skip the whipped cream for a fully vegan experience.

Chestnut Praline Latte

Known for its buttery, spiced flavors, this drink can easily be veganized by replacing dairy milk and omitting whipped cream.

Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato

Featuring a blend of oat milk, brown sugar syrup, and spiced apple drizzle, this fall favorite transitions seamlessly into the holiday menu.

New Dairy-Free Holiday Cold Foams

Starbucks has expanded its offerings to include non-dairy cold foams in seasonal flavors like Gingerbread, Peppermint Chocolate, Sugar Cookie, and Chestnut Praline. These creamy toppings elevate holiday beverages with festive flair.

With its growing roster of vegan-friendly drinks and the elimination of extra charges for non-dairy milk, Starbucks continues to make strides in catering to plant-based consumers. Whether you’re sipping a Cran-Merry Refresher or cozying up with a Chestnut Praline Latte, Starbucks’ holiday menu is sure to deliver seasonal cheer for everyone.
