HEYTEA, the leading new-style tea brand in China, is thrilled to announce an extraordinary partnership with world-renowned artist Yayoi Kusama. This groundbreaking collaboration marks a historic first for a Chinese tea brand, merging the vibrant worlds of tea culture and contemporary art in a celebration of creativity and joy.
Under the theme “Adding a Touch of BOBO to the World,” this partnership brings together Kusama’s iconic polka dot artwork and HEYTEA’s beloved BOBO elements—the playful bubbles that define its innovative beverages. This unique fusion embodies themes of happiness, vitality, and limitless artistic expression.
As part of this monumental initiative, HEYTEA is proud to sponsor Yayoi Kusama’s exhibition titled “Life of the Pumpkin Recites, All About the Biggest Love for the People.” The centerpiece of this exhibition is Kusama’s largest pumpkin sculpture to date—a stunning 10-meter-tall installation adorned with her signature polka dots. This breathtaking artwork will be unveiled at Shanghai’s North Bund from November 12 to November 17, 2024, symbolizing love, unity, and peace.
The collaboration is rooted in a shared passion for polka dots. Known as the “Queen of Polka Dots,” Kusama uses these symbols to convey themes of infinity and interconnectedness. Similarly, HEYTEA’s BOBO pearls represent joy and healing energy, making each sip a delightful experience. This synergy bridges contemporary art and new-style tea culture, inviting consumers to engage with both.
To commemorate this partnership, HEYTEA will launch seven limited-edition BOBO tea series products, including fan favorites like Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk and Mango Grapefruit Boom. Each beverage will feature exclusive packaging inspired by Kusama’s art, including custom-designed cups and whimsical paper bags. Additionally, HEYTEA stores worldwide will offer specially crafted merchandise such as keychains and mugs that capture the spirit of this collaboration.
The highlight of this partnership is the sponsorship of Kusama’s monumental pumpkin sculpture. Originally unveiled in Paris, this installation serves as a powerful metaphor for unity and collective harmony. By bringing this artwork to China, HEYTEA aims to foster dialogue between contemporary art and global audiences while amplifying Kusama’s enduring message of love and peace.
Founded in 2012 in Jiangmen, Guangdong, HEYTEA has revolutionized tea culture with its innovative offerings. Known for introducing the world’s first cheese-topped brewed tea, HEYTEA continues to blend traditional elements with modern twists to create unique beverages that resonate with consumers.
This collaboration not only signifies a major milestone for HEYTEA but also enhances its global presence. By partnering with an iconic artist like Yayoi Kusama, HEYTEA reinforces its position as a trendsetter in the new-style tea industry. The brand has previously collaborated with luxury brands such as FENDI and Nike, further establishing its reputation for pushing boundaries.
