Dr Pepper Introduces Limited Edition Non-Alcoholic Bourbon Flavored Soda

Dr Pepper, the iconic beverage brand known for its bold flavor, has unveiled a new limited-edition soda: Dr Pepper Bourbon Flavored Fansville Reserve. Inspired by the rich taste of barrel-aged bourbon, this latest offering delivers complex flavor notes but remains 100% non-alcoholic.

The soda, housed in a sleek, silver can with vintage-inspired labeling reminiscent of a bourbon bottle, promises an intriguing mix of flavors. According to Dr Pepper, the drink offers a “one-of-a-kind flavor that evokes sweet, savory, and woody notes.” Sippers will detect subtle hints of cherry, vanilla, chocolate, and caramel—a medley of tastes sure to appeal to the sophisticated palate.

Although bourbon is the muse, this new soda is designed for everyone, allowing non-drinkers and bourbon fans alike to enjoy its robust profile without alcohol. Its complex flavor might even spark creative uses in cocktails or dessert pairings, offering a versatile twist to classic recipes like spiked ice cream floats.

Unlike your typical soda, getting your hands on Dr Pepper Bourbon Flavored Fansville Reserve is a bit of a game of chance. It’s available exclusively through Dr Pepper’s Pepper Perks program, where participants can redeem points and play a scratch-and-win game to score a can. As this soda is a limited-time release, availability will depend on supply, but the promotion will run until November 17, 2024.

This unique release continues Dr Pepper’s tradition of standing out in a crowded soda market, where they’ve long charted their own course with distinctive products and marketing. Known for its sharp flavor and memorable ad campaigns (like the “I’m a Pepper!” jingle from the ’70s), Dr Pepper’s creativity shines again with this bourbon-flavored twist.
