Bober Tea & Coffee Opens In San Diego, Introducing A Fresh Take On Bubble Tea

Bober Tea & Coffee, an emerging bubble tea brand, has officially opened its doors in San Diego, marking a significant expansion from its roots in Singapore. Founded in 2018, Bober Tea has rapidly grown, boasting 20 outlets globally, with a strong presence in the Philippines and 15 locations in California. The new branch on Mission Gorge Road in Grantville is the second Bober Tea establishment in Southern California.

Known for its eye-catching cafes adorned with vibrant pink flowers and disco balls, Bober Tea offers a unique experience beyond just beverages. The brand is particularly famous for its freshly made brown sugar boba, which is stir-fried at the counter and served warm in drinks. Signature offerings include the decadent Signature Milk Tea, featuring a rich brown sugar syrup, housemade cheese cream, and a brulee’d brown sugar topping. Other popular drinks include the Pink Haze—a hazelnut-flavored Vietnamese iced coffee topped with pink salted cream—and a refreshing mung bean pandan latte sprinkled with edible rose petals.

Customers have the convenience of ordering ahead online or using a self-ordering kiosk, where they can personalize their drinks by adjusting sweetness levels and selecting from a variety of add-ins, such as coconut or lychee jelly, crushed Oreos, and passionfruit popping boba. For those looking to elevate their experience, Bober Tea also offers unique upgrades for an additional fee, including a bear-shaped clear container called a “Bear Brick” and a mystery cup that reveals a surprise Sanrio plushie hidden within.

In addition to its beverage offerings, the San Diego location is paired with Mochi Dough, which specializes in freshly made Japanese doughnuts crafted from rice flour. The unique “pon de ring” doughnuts come in an impressive selection of over 100 flavors, including matcha, strawberry, taro, and black sesame, ensuring that there’s something for every palate.

Bober Tea & Coffee’s arrival in San Diego promises to elevate the local bubble tea scene, providing both locals and visitors with a delightful blend of innovative drinks and delicious treats in a stunning atmosphere.
