Self-Serve Boba: Create Your Own Milk Tea at Sacramento’s Honeybee Boba Cafe

Sacramento has introduced its first self-serve boba experience, offering customers a unique and cost-effective way to enjoy their favorite drinks. At Honeybee Boba Cafe, patrons can customize their beverages with a variety of toppings and tea flavors for a flat rate of $6 per cup.

Ahn Luu, a Sacramento resident and the owner of Honeybee Boba Cafe, demonstrated the self-serve boba bar, highlighting its flexibility and variety. “We change the flavors weekly. Sometimes you’ll come one day and the next day we’ll have different flavors,” Luu said.

On a recent visit, Luu prepared a vibrant honeydew lemonade drink topped with fruit-flavored popping boba. Other flavors available that day included taro milk tea and Thai tea.

Located near the Sacramento State campus at 6505 Folsom Boulevard, Honeybee Boba Cafe is conveniently accessible for students and local residents looking to enjoy a personalized boba experience.
