Starbucks’ Summer Menu Will Reportedly Feature Boba-Inspired Drinks

Starbucks is set to heat up summer 2024 with an exciting new menu that includes its own take on the beloved bubble tea. Starting May 6, customers can enjoy boba-inspired drinks featuring chewable “pearls.” This addition aligns with the growing popularity of boba, a Taiwanese drink known for its milk, tea, and tapioca balls.

Summer Menu Highlights:

Boba-Inspired Refreshers:

Summer-Berry Refresher: A mix of raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry flavors with options of water, lemonade, or coconut milk, shaken with ice. It includes raspberry-flavored boba pearls that burst in your mouth. Variations include the Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher and Summer Skies Drink Refresher.

Matcha Iced Tea with Boba: Crafted with raspberry boba and topped with strawberry cold foam, this drink combines the earthy flavors of matcha with the sweetness of fruit.

New Energy Beverages:

Starbucks will introduce a “zero to low-calorie handcrafted energy beverage” and more sugar-free energy drink options. This move caters to health-conscious consumers looking for refreshing and energizing options.

Return of Favorites:

White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew: A popular cold brew option making a comeback for summer.

Sweet Treats:

Orange Cream Cake Pop: Cream cake mixed with buttercream, dipped in chocolate icing, and designed with an orange slice on top.

Pineapple Cloud Cake: An airy cake layered with pineapple cream and pineapple fruit, topped with a drizzle for a tropical treat.

Earlier this spring, Starbucks introduced three spicy lemonade refreshers—Spicy Dragonfruit, Spicy Pineapple, and Spicy Strawberry—along with a Spicy Cream Cold Foam. These drinks blend the sweetness of Starbucks Refreshers with the zest of lemonade and the heat from Starbucks’ Spicy Chili Powder Blend, reflecting the trendy “swicy” (sweet and spicy) flavor profile.

With these additions, Starbucks is ready to offer a diverse and refreshing menu perfect for the summer season. Whether you’re craving the chewy delight of boba pearls or a low-calorie energy boost, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
