Modesto is set to welcome its 10th boba shop, with Tealight Drinks and Snow preparing to open its doors at the North Point Landing shopping center. Located at 3848 McHenry Ave., Suite 120, this new establishment is poised to offer a unique experience for boba enthusiasts.
Owned by Nam Tran, Tealight Drinks and Snow is gearing up for a soft opening on June 1, with a grand opening scheduled for July 1 pending final renovations and inspections. Originating approximately seven years ago in Morgan Hill, this will be the business’ second location, bringing its blend of flavors to Modesto.
The menu at Tealight boasts an array of options, including a make-your-own milk tea feature with 10 tea bases such as jasmine, Thai, and white peach oolong. Additionally, customers can choose from 19 flavor and topping options, ranging from lavender taro to honeydew strawberry and peach-flavored bursting basil seeds. Notable signature drinks include the Scarlet’s Kiss, a blend of strawberry jasmine tea with honey boba and basil seeds, and the Milky Way, featuring hojicha milk tea with house crème brulée and honey boba swirled with chocolate syrup.
Beyond boba, Tealight also offers smoothies, Viet coffee drinks, slushes, and shaved snow, providing a diverse selection for patrons. Prices for beverages range from $4.95 to $6.95, with the option to add extra toppings and flavors for an additional cost.
In addition to Tealight Drinks and Snow, Modesto boasts a variety of other boba shops, with a total of 10 establishments serving the community. These include Bobalicious, Kung Fu Tea, One Tea House, T-Cups Cafe, Teaspoon, Tea Daze, The Tea Shack, T4 Tea For You, and What’s the Tea? Boba and Snacks.
