Bay View Welcomes Four New Dining Destinations

Exciting culinary developments are on the horizon in Bay View, with the imminent arrival of four new restaurants set to invigorate the local dining scene.

Leading the charge is the anticipated debut of Milwaukee’s inaugural Burmese eatery, Ni Burmese, slated to grace the ground floor of the KinetiK Apartments building. Spearheaded by Nyonyo Lin and her mother, Ni Ni, the restaurant promises to introduce diners to authentic Burmese cuisine, steeped in tradition and heritage. Signature dishes, including a tantalizing rice noodle soup infused with fish, garlic, onions, lemon, and peppers, are poised to delight patrons seeking a culinary adventure.

Meanwhile, the culinary landscape will be further enriched by the arrival of Mochinut, a renowned franchise renowned for its delectable mochi donuts, milk tea boba, Korean-style corndogs, and Vietnamese coffee. With its second location set to open at 2144-2146 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., owner Loan Nguyen aims to replicate the success of the Bayshore outpost while also introducing Roll Up, a concept specializing in customized spring rolls and noodle bowls.

Anticipation mounts as Bay View prepares to welcome Himalayan Yak, an enchanting fusion of Nepalese and Indian flavors, to its vibrant dining tapestry. Nestled at 2321 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., this forthcoming establishment, poised to replace the former Riviera Maya and Midwest Diner, promises to tantalize taste buds with its diverse array of aromatic and flavorful offerings. With an eye toward an August inauguration, the proprietors, who already boast a successful Himalayan Yak outpost in Fargo, North Dakota, are poised to captivate local diners with their culinary prowess.

This culinary renaissance in Bay View is a testament to the neighborhood’s dynamic spirit and burgeoning gastronomic scene, offering residents and visitors alike an array of enticing dining options to explore and savor.
