Brown Street near the University of Dayton welcomes a new addition to its vibrant culinary scene with the opening of OH! Boba, a boba tea shop occupying the former space of Val’s Bakery.
Owned by Jess Justice, along with QQ Qiang and Ting Shi, OH! Boba’s grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony are slated for Monday, May 20. Justice assures customers of the same exceptional customer service and high-quality milk teas that define the brand’s reputation across all its locations.
This marks OH! Boba’s third establishment in the Dayton region, following the success of its inaugural brick-and-mortar store in Troy at 217 SE Public Square in 2022 and its subsequent location inside COhatch The Market in downtown Springfield in 2023.
As a women-owned small business in Dayton, OH! Boba prioritizes local sourcing and supports fellow small enterprises. Justice emphasizes their pride in using high-quality jersey milk from Woodruff Farm in Urbana and collaborating with local artists for boba-themed merchandise.
Customers can anticipate a diverse menu featuring fresh brewed teas, milk teas, fruit teas, and smoothies. Notably, OH! Boba recently introduced the Cat Paw Mochi Waffle, offering savory and sweet flavors such as pizza, jalapenos and cheese, apple pie, and strawberry chocolate.
The owners are enthusiastic about exploring new ideas and fostering collaborations with local businesses. Justice expresses their eagerness to integrate into the Dayton small business community and engage with the University of Dayton student body, particularly through partnerships with groups like the Asian American Association to promote Asian culture.
OH! Boba operates from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
