Twrl Milk Tea Introduces First Single-Serve, Plant-Based Popping Boba

Twrl Milk Tea, a trailblazing plant-based food and beverage company, proudly unveils its latest innovation: single-serve, dye-free Popping Boba toppings. These delightful additions come in three tantalizing flavors: Honey, Lychee, and Strawberry. The launch of these Popping Boba marks a significant milestone for the brand, renowned for its dedication to sustainability, health, innovation, and the celebration of its founders’ Chinese and Taiwanese heritage. Initially debuting on Kickstarter, the Popping Boba will later hit Sprouts Farmers Markets nationwide this summer.

Founded by entrepreneurs and longtime friends Pauline Ang and Olivia Chen, Twrl Milk Tea has rapidly evolved from a quest to create delicious, health-conscious plant-based milk tea to a multifaceted endeavor. Emphasizing ecologically friendly and health-conscious products, Twrl Milk Tea has emerged as a frontrunner in the food and beverage industry by sourcing ingredients sustainably from small family farms in Taiwan, Japan, and China.

Featuring a distinctive seaweed extract shell, Twrl’s Popping Boba is vegan, gluten-free, and dye-free, setting a precedent as the market’s first single-serve variant. Each packet is meticulously portioned, simplifying the process of concocting the perfect drink or dessert. These juice-filled popping boba toppings burst with flavor upon consumption, enhancing any iced tea, sparkling water, cocktail, mocktail, or dessert.

Notably, Twrl’s Popping Boba toppings eschew artificial colors such as Red 3 (banned in California), Red 40, Yellow 5, or Yellow 6, commonly found in candies or sugary drinks. The boba shell, crafted from seaweed extract, boasts a soft, non-chewy texture, with no gelatins employed in its production.

Pauline Ang and Olivia Chen, Co-founders of Twrl Milk Tea, expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “As part of our endeavor to replicate the cafe-style tea-drinking experience at home, we are thrilled to introduce Popping Boba as a delectable addition to our range of teas and boba toppings.” They added, “Our latest Popping Boba epitomizes our mission to share the flavors of our heritage using premium ingredients, all while upholding our commitment to health and sustainability.”

Twrl Milk Tea’s Popping Boba will be available for purchase starting April 23rd on Kickstarter.com.
