New Boba Tea Shop Set to Delight Bellevue Residents

Exciting news is brewing for boba tea enthusiasts in downtown Bellevue, as a new establishment is gearing up to join the vibrant culinary scene. According to a permit issued by the City of Bellevue, Choo Tea is slated to open its doors at 155 108th Avenue Northeast.

Promising a delightful array of beverages and treats, Choo Tea will feature an extensive menu including fruit tea, milk tea, coffee, egg waffles, sandwiches, and more. The space is thoughtfully designed, with distinct sections for dining, a front desk, kitchen, and storage room, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for patrons.

Situated in the Bellevue Plaza building, alongside the esteemed Bake’s Place, Choo Tea is poised to become a welcome addition to the downtown Bellevue landscape. Known for its vibrant jazz scene, Bake’s Place has been a cherished establishment since its inception in 2012, adding to the dynamic nightlife of the area.

While Choo Tea brings fresh flavors to downtown Bellevue, it joins the ranks of other notable boba tea destinations in the vicinity. ChiCha San Chen, which opened its doors in 2023 on 105th Avenue Northeast, boasts a unique offering of boba made from freshly toasted tea leaves sourced from their own plantation.

Meanwhile, The Whale Tea, which made its debut in 2022 on Bellevue Way Northeast, stands out for its commitment to using only natural ingredients, crafting drinks with milk, cream, chai, and fresh fruit.

With a burgeoning selection of bubble tea options in the area, including Tra Tea and Juice Bar, Kung Fu Tea, and Mi Tea, Bellevue residents have an abundance of choices to satisfy their boba cravings. Originating in Taiwan in the early 1980s before making its way to the United States in the 1990s, bubble tea has become a beloved beverage cherished for its unique flavors and textures.

As anticipation builds for the grand opening of Choo Tea, downtown Bellevue is poised to become a hub of boba bliss, offering a diverse array of options to cater to every palate.
