Bon Bon Boba Tea Softly Opens in Milwaukee’s Brewery District

Milwaukee welcomes a new addition to its vibrant culinary scene with the soft opening of Bon Bon Boba Tea. Nestled at 1259 N. 10th St., the cozy establishment occupies the former space of the short-lived Boiler House Cafe, which shuttered its doors early last year.

Owned and operated by the dynamic husband and wife duo, Sai and Dominique Yang, Bon Bon Boba Tea offers a diverse menu of boba drinks, a curated selection of coffee-based beverages, and an array of delectable pastries and desserts.

The venture marks a significant milestone for the Yangs, who introduced their milk tea offerings at various farmers markets across West Allis, Menomonee Falls, and Oak Creek last summer. While they had initially set their sights on a brick-and-mortar location in the SoNa Lofts and Maker’s Row development on 66th Street in West Allis, construction delays have prompted the couple to pivot their focus to their inaugural shop in the Brewery District.

The interior of Bon Bon Boba Tea exudes charm, with its 1100 square feet space showcasing a modern industrial aesthetic featuring exposed brick walls, rustic cement floors, and ample natural light streaming in from large windows on both the north and east sides. The ambiance is further enhanced by a mix of high top tables and colorful lounge-style seating along the windows, inviting guests to linger and savor their menu offerings.

Speaking of the menu, Bon Bon Boba Tea boasts an extensive selection of boba concoctions, including their signature milk series and an assortment of fruit teas. Guests can indulge in popular favorites such as the Dalgona drink, featuring a creamy base topped with a frothy whipped topping, available in various flavors. Smoothies, coffee drinks, and a delectable array of pastries and desserts round out the offerings, providing something to delight every palate.

Sai Yang emphasizes their commitment to quality, stating, “We use freshly brewed tea for our boba drinks and as much fresh fruit and fresh products as we can.” Additionally, the shop offers a selection of shelf-stable French and European snacks, along with charming boba tea-scented candles available for purchase.

While the Yangs are still gearing up to open their West Allis location, patrons can stay updated on their latest developments through their social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.

Bon Bon Boba Tea is currently open seven days a week from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., inviting guests to savor their delightful offerings in the heart of Milwaukee’s Brewery District.
