YAAAS Tea Debuts Long Island’s First Kosher-Certified Boba Tea Shop in Great Neck

In a groundbreaking move, YAAAS Tea, renowned for its bubble tea offerings across Long Island, has secured kosher certification for its Great Neck location, marking a historic milestone as the region’s inaugural dedicated kosher-certified Boba Tea shop. The popular chain, with a total of 9 locations across Long Island, has consistently garnered acclaim, earning the title of the best bubble tea on Long Island for four consecutive years from 2021 to 2024.

Situated in the heart of the business district and the local Jewish community, YAAAS Tea’s Great Neck establishment is set to redefine the Boba Tea experience with a diverse menu featuring an array of bobas, teas, coffees, and delectable desserts. Standout items include the Brown Sugar BOBO, Iced Pumpkin Pie Brûlée, an assortment of milk teas (hot and cold), various coffee cold brews, iced teas, and enticing baked sweet treats.

For the uninitiated, Boba tea, also known as bubble tea, is a Taiwanese beverage crafted from a delightful blend of milk, tea, water, sugar, and iconic tapioca pearls, affectionately referred to as “boba.” The tapioca pearls, characterized by their chewy and glossy texture, are composed of starches, brown sugar, and water.

The restaurant’s tagline, “Fresh Boba: Every Hour on the Hour,” underscores its commitment to delivering a consistently fresh and delightful boba experience. While YAAAS Tea’s non-kosher locations have previously earned accolades, the Great Neck kosher-certified branch promises a unique and authentic offering for the discerning palate.

In terms of operational hours, YAAAS Tea Great Neck, now under kosher certification by the VHQ, is currently finalizing its schedule. Anticipated opening hours are expected to be from Sunday to Thursday, 11:30 am to 8 or 9 pm, with Fridays operational until one hour before Shabbat begins. Saturday nights will see the shop reopening one hour after Shabbat concludes.

Notably, YAAAS Tea in Great Neck is the sole kosher-certified location at present.
