Attention, bubble tea enthusiasts! Get ready to savor the delightful offerings of B&K Tea Cafe as it prepares to open its fourth location in Huntersville this spring. The locally owned bubble tea chain, known for its diverse menu featuring milk tea, fruit tea, and specialty boba drinks, is rapidly expanding its presence.
B&K Tea Cafe had humble beginnings, originating as a food truck in 2021. Co-owners Bobby Cain and Kristen Compton, childhood friends from Kannapolis, drew inspiration from their time at UNC-Chapel Hill, where Cain worked at a boba shop. In May 2022, they opened their first brick-and-mortar location in Concord, followed by another in Kannapolis in February 2023. The Lake Norman community welcomed B&K Tea Cafe with a Mooresville location in the summer of the same year.
The upcoming Huntersville store, set to open in late April or early May, will feature the same beloved menu items that have won over customers, including favorites like Strawberry Milk Tea and Tiger Milk Tea, as well as fruity selections such as Peach Oolong, Lovely Lychee, and Mango Madness.
But that’s not all—Cain, the driving force behind the expansion, has a treat in store for ramen enthusiasts. Following the success of introducing instant ramen at the Mooresville location, the Huntersville store will offer specialty ramen from popular Asian brands, providing a unique and authentic experience for customers. Expect prices to start around $5. In addition to the delightful array of drinks and ramen, other Asian snacks, including mochi ice cream, will also be available.
As B&K Tea Cafe continues to grow, it not only caters to bubble tea enthusiasts but also brings the essence of Asian culture to diverse communities. So, mark your calendars and get ready to immerse yourself in the rich flavors and warm hospitality of B&K Tea Cafe in Huntersville.
