Honey Bee Tea, the popular boba tea shop, marked its grand opening in Oakville with a larger and more expansive fourth location. Launched in mid-December 2023 at 5658 Telegraph Road, Suite A, the Oakville store is now the largest in the Honey Bee Tea family, boasting 2,600 square feet and seating for approximately 40 guests.
Owned by Hai Tang and Moon Duong, the Oakville location not only offers a spacious ambiance but also an expanded menu featuring a broader selection of desserts, baked goods, and diverse food options. The couple, who opened their first shop in Manchester in early 2022, followed by subsequent locations in St. Charles and Brentwood in 2023, continue to blend the art of boba tea with culinary delights.
The Oakville store introduces a Vietnamese food menu that varies weekly, encompassing street food and main meals such as pork chops with rice. The bakery-style offerings include fruit tarts, cake pops, and layered cakes like the ube cake. Additionally, the shop introduces soft-serve ice cream with unique flavors such as matcha, ube, durian, and taro.
Exclusive to the Oakville location is the addition of freshly squeezed juice, notably sugar cane juice offered in various combinations, including with kumquat and durian. This refreshing beverage can be customized with toppings like boba and jellies in diverse flavors.
Maintaining the signature Honey Bee Tea aesthetic, the Oakville store features gold tones, black accents, and distinct design elements. Guests are welcomed by subway-style black tiles behind the counter, while golden hues adorn the walls. The interior design includes spaces for photo opportunities, with large angel wings and an oversized boba tea light feature.
The Oakville location promises the same beloved boba tea and desserts found in other stores, including Hong Kong waffles with customizable toppings, signature milk teas like Okinawa milk tea with toasted crème brûlée, and fruit teas made with purees such as fresh passion fruit tea. Honey Bee Tea continues to blend innovation with tradition, creating a haven for boba enthusiasts and culinary explorers alike.
