YOTEA: Popular China-Based Milk Tea Brand Set To Open First BC Location In Richmond

Richmond’s bubble tea scene is about to get a fresh, exciting twist with the arrival of YOTEA, a beloved fruit tea brand from China, which is opening its first British Columbia location in mid-2025. The new spot will be at Continental Plaza, taking over the former Chase Tea space.

YOTEA, known for its unique cube-shaped cups filled with fresh fruit chunks and a variety of tea options, is already a hit across China, with over 60 locations and more than 10 million cups sold annually. Their creative, health-conscious approach to fruit tea is taking the world by storm, and fans in Metro Vancouver are already buzzing with excitement about the brand’s arrival.

The menu offers a diverse range of teas to choose from, including Black Tea, Oolong Tea, Green Tea, and of course, milk tea, for those who love a creamy twist. Each drink is customizable, letting you mix and match flavors to create the perfect drink for your taste.

In addition to the delicious drinks, YOTEA fans adore their mascot, RUA RUA, a tiny, cute yellow hedgehog, who serves as the face of the brand and a social media sensation.

After dominating the fruit tea scene in China since its 2014 debut in Shenzhen, YOTEA is now bringing its unique take on tea culture to Metro Vancouver. While the area has seen a rise in tea brands like Molly Tea and Chagee, YOTEA’s arrival proves that fruit teas still reign supreme.
