Starbucks is making strides in its dairy-free offerings, catering to the growing demand for plant-based beverages and food. The coffee giant has updated its menu with a variety of new drinks, including a unique Iced Nondairy Salted Caramel Cookie Matcha, made with a delicious blend of nondairy salted caramel sweet cream. This addition highlights Starbucks’ commitment to providing flavorful options for those avoiding dairy.
In addition to the matcha treat, Starbucks has introduced the Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado, specifically designed for non-dairy customers. This espresso-forward drink is part of an expanded range of dairy-free beverages that now includes a new nondairy sweet cream made from a blend of oatmilk and soymilk, which can also be used as cold foam.
As of November 7, 2024, Starbucks has eliminated the surcharge for non-dairy milk alternatives at corporate-owned locations. This means customers can enjoy their favorite drinks with soy, oat, almond, or coconut milk without paying extra. While franchise locations have the option to maintain this surcharge, the change reflects Starbucks’ dedication to making dairy-free choices more accessible.
To complement these new drinks, Starbucks has also added a Certified Vegan Spicy Falafel Pocket and a spicy dairy-free Bitchin’ Sauce to its food menu, providing even more options for those seeking quick vegan snacks on the go.
