The location has a rich history, having previously housed The Blo Lounge and Ashford Menswear from 2012 to 2016, and before that, it was known as Chocadores chocolate cafe. This transformation marks a new chapter for the space, aligning with the growing trend of food-centric establishments on Ecclesall Road.
In addition to HIGUYS’ launch, the area is buzzing with activity as Urban Burger prepares to open in the Tuk Tuk Thai Street Food unit, strategically located between Pizza Express and Nando’s. This shift towards diverse dining options is further emphasized by the anticipated openings of McDonald’s and a new Turkish restaurant, signaling a vibrant evolution of this once-famous shopping street into a culinary hotspot.
