International Delight Recalls Peppermint Mocha Creamer Due To Sugar Mislabeling

In a recent announcement that has sent ripples through the milk tea and coffee creamer communities, International Delight has initiated a recall of approximately 10,794 bottles of their newly launched sugar-free coffee creamer. This decision, prompted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), comes after the startling discovery that the creamers labeled as “zero sugar” actually contain sugar.

The affected product is the Home Alone International Delight Peppermint Mocha Zero Sugar coffee creamer, packaged in 32-ounce plastic bottles. These items were distributed in a variety of states, including Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin, between July 2024 and October 12, 2024. Customers should be particularly mindful of bottles with a best-by date of 02.25.25, as these are the products in question.

For fans of milk tea and creamers, this recall may spark concerns, especially among those monitoring their sugar intake for health reasons such as diabetes. International Delight advises customers to return the affected products to their point of purchase for a full refund, ensuring that those who are cautious about their sugar consumption can find peace of mind. However, for those who don’t have sugar concerns, the creamer is still safe to enjoy, as the recall is solely due to mislabeling and does not pose a health risk.

While no illnesses have been reported in connection with this product, it is always prudent to consult a healthcare professional if you experience any unusual symptoms after consuming the affected creamer.

This recall underscores the importance of accurate labeling in the food and beverage industry. As consumers increasingly gravitate towards sugar-free and low-calorie options, vigilance from manufacturers is essential to maintain trust and safety.
