Starbucks Removes Non-Dairy Milk Charges This Holiday Season

As the holiday season approaches, many of us are keeping a closer eye on our budgets. Starbucks has just announced a festive treat: starting November 7, you won’t have to pay extra for non-dairy milk in your favorite handcrafted beverages. This change means you can enjoy your oat milk lattes without the usual 70 to 80 cents surcharge, making your holiday indulgences a bit sweeter.

CEO Brian Niccol emphasized the importance of creating a welcoming atmosphere at Starbucks, stating, “We’re focused on what sets us apart—handcrafted coffee that brings people together.” This pricing adjustment aims to enhance customer experience, especially for the nearly half of visitors who customize their drinks with non-dairy options, making it the second most popular request after additional espresso shots.

In a landscape where many coffee chains are reevaluating pricing and offerings, Starbucks is stepping up with this meaningful change. Following a lawsuit earlier this year concerning the non-dairy surcharge, this move signals a commitment to inclusivity for all coffee lovers, including those who are lactose intolerant.

As we anticipate the unveiling of Starbucks’ full holiday menu, which promises delightful surprises, you can look forward to sipping on your favorite non-dairy drinks without worrying about added costs. Enjoy the season’s flavors, including festive treats like Sugar Plum Danishes, and toast to a holiday season filled with joy and savings!
