Nation’s Fastest Growing Bubble Tea Chain Opens in Cumberland County
Kung Fu Tea, renowned as the fastest growing bubble tea chain in the nation, has opened its doors in Cumberland County. Located at 3401 Hartzdale Drive in Lower Allen Township, the new outlet welcomed its first customers on Wednesday, according to social media announcements.
Dubbed “the Starbucks of bubble tea” by the Washington Post, Kung Fu Tea specializes in custom, made-to-order bubble tea drinks. These beverages, also known as boba milk tea, pearl milk tea, or simply boba, originated in Taiwan in the 1980s. They combine tea with milk and fruits, topped with chewy tapioca pearls.
Kung Fu Tea’s extensive menu features a variety of options, including classic teas, milk teas, fruit teas, and slushies, all customizable with toppings such as bubbles, milk cap, beans, and jellies. The tea is brewed every three hours using premium tea leaves, and the drinks are served in oversized cups with thick straws.
