The popularity of boba tea has surged in the UK over recent years, evidenced by the proliferation of boba shops nationwide. Originating in the 1980s, this beverage blends tea with milk, fruit, and fruit juices, supplemented by tapioca pearls and a vigorous shaking process.
Since commencing franchise operations in 2020, CUPP has witnessed rapid expansion throughout the UK. The Worcester branch, inaugurated in December 2022 within the former Greggs store, drew substantial crowds eager to partake in its complimentary offerings of 100 bubble teas during the launch.
In addition to the complimentary giveaways, the store will host various activities.
Angharad Jackson, the brand director, remarked, “We are so happy to be back with another huge celebration for National Boba Tea Day 2024. We’re so passionate about boba and our loyal customers who support us every day – so what better way to give back than with free boba tea? We’ve also got a few other exciting freebies in the works—keep your eyes peeled on our website and social media to learn more.”
