In response to the government’s recent decision to decrease the price of imported milk powder, the All-Island Restaurant Owners’ Association revealed today that the cost of a cup of milk tea has been slashed by Rs. 10.
The decision to lower prices comes following the government’s move to reduce the prices of imported milk powder, which came into effect from midnight on the 24th of this month, as announced by Minister of Trade Nalin Fernando on Sunday.
Minister Fernando stated that the price of a 1-kilogram packet of milk powder would be reduced by Rs. 150, while the 400-gram packet would see a decrease of Rs. 60.
